  2. 02 91/100

    Scheduling · Prosumer

    Cal.com

Methodology · Chapter 01

How a listing earns its place.

A directory is only as useful as the rigor behind its rankings. Four rules govern every one of the 52,417 tools in our index — and they govern what we refuse to publish.

  1. 01

    47-point editorial review

Every submission is read by a human analyst and scored across forty-seven discrete criteria — from documentation quality and accessibility posture to pricing transparency and the historical reliability of the founding team. We reject 62% of what arrives in our inbox. A listing only goes live when it has earned it.

  2. 02

    Re-verified every 14 days

We are the only major portal with a published freshness SLA. One hundred percent of live listings are re-checked within a fourteen-day window — pricing, status pages, changelog, security disclosures — and the audit log is public. Stale directory data is the reason we exist.

  3. 03

    Zero sponsored placements in rankings

Vendor spend never moves a Dreyfus Trust Score. Paid slots are clearly badged in a separate rail, audited annually by BDO, and never appear inside editorial lists. Our rankings read like a research report because they are written like one.

  4. 04

Ranked by the Dreyfus Trust Score

Our proprietary 0–100 credibility index is used by 1.2M monthly readers and cited in 380+ third-party research reports, including Gartner Magic Quadrants and the G2 Winter and Summer Grid®. It is an editorial instrument, not a star-rating gimmick.

Chapter 02 · The Index

The Dreyfus Trust Score, in plain language.

When a visitor sees a 94 next to a tool, they deserve to know what that number means and — more importantly — who computed it. The Dreyfus Trust Score is our proprietary 0–100 credibility index, named for the analyst who drafted its first rubric in 2015. It is not a sentiment score and it is not a popularity contest. It is an editorial measurement, produced by the same team that writes every review on this site.

A score is composed of four weighted bands: Foundational credibility (25 points) covers corporate standing, security posture, and the verifiable track record of the founders. Product maturity (30 points) reads the actual software — documentation quality, API design, accessibility, and the absence of dark-pattern UX. Market signal (25 points) weighs adoption, retention proxies, third-party validation, and the absence of unresolved public disputes. Editorial standing (20 points) is the most subjective band — how a tool behaves under sustained use by our own analysts and the readers who report back.

No single criterion can lift a tool above 70. A 90 or higher requires that all four bands hold their weight over a full quarter of use. Listings below 60 are not published; listings that drop below 60 between re-verification cycles are pulled within 48 hours and re-opened only after a fresh review. The score, the rubric, and the audit log are all public — a directory that hides its math is just an opinion page.
