I believe these splits may. (I purchased the washer second-hand), have been cause by this washing machine being over loading with clothing which rubbed against the door seal wearing and tearing these splits in it.

TIP Do not overload your washing machine. Overloading reduces the washing action and may prevent cleaning.

A Note: Even with these large splits the only time it leaked, (a small amount of water), was if it was run without cloths in. This is when the water inside would splash about more.

So why did I fix it? I decided to fix it before it got worse.

DANGER UNPLUG.  Also turn off water supply.

DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE.  TURN OFF MAINS ELECTRIC SUPPLY AND UNPLUG FROM THE MAIN SUPPLY.

DO NOT CONTINUE UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THIS.

NOTE: ALLOW THE WASHING MACHINE TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING.

TIP you should, if possible, empty the washer dryer of clothes and water first i.e. use the spin cycle.

TIP Take your time if any part feel difficult to fit find out why. Do NOT force parts this may cause damage.

These Tips may not be suitable for any other Models of Washing Machines or Washer Dryers.

Before you start make sure you are competent enough to complete these tips.

You will be handling HEAVY MACHINEY WHICH USES HIGH VOLTAGE, HIGH PRESSURE WATER, DANGEROUS, (POTENTIALLY HOT AND HIGH SPEED), MECHANICAL ITEMS and TOOLS.

ELECTRIC AND WATER DO NOT MIX and this with the HEAVY and MECHANICAL DEVICES MAKE THIS VERY, VERY DANGEROUS.
