Disconnect the Pipes

Disconnect the Hot and Cold inlet water supply pipes. Turn off water supply first, DANGER UNPLUG.

You may be able to do this by hand, but a mole wrench or similar will probably be required.  Good large pliers will probably do the same job.

TIP Do not grip too tightly, (or you may damage the connector), just tight enough to do the job.

A Mole wrench is a useful tool it has a powerful grip and is able to be latch-on to objects holding and gripping them hands free. This is a good tool for diy, do it yourself.

TIP It is easier to do this after removal of the lid because this allows easier access to the connection fastenings.

TIP Note make sure you don't lose any seals from these pipes.

TIP They may have a small amount of water in them and you may benefit from having a container to drain this water into.

TIP you should, if possible, empty the washer dryer of clothes and water first i.e. use the spin cycle.

DANGER UNPLUG.  Also turn off water supply.

MAKE SURE NO ONE ELSE APART FROM YOURSELF IS ABLE TO PLUG THE ZANNSSI 1250 WASHER DRYER BACK IN.

DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE.  TURN OFF MAINS ELECTRIC SUPPLY AND UNPLUG FROM THE MAIN SUPPLY. DO NOT CONTINUE UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THIS. DANGER UNPLUG.  Also turn off water supply.

NOTE: ALLOW THE WASHING MACHINE TO COOL COMPLETELY BEFORE STARTING. The machine can become very HOT during use, especially if the tumble dryer is used.
