20:1: It is believed that the previous bids probably failed because of the high level of competition.

20:2: Some of the competing estates where already in the process of completing work and where therefore given preference.

20:3: The Department of Environment have not specified any reasons for rejecting our previous bids.

20:4: No evidence has been found to prove the rumour that any other estates received Estate Action funding instead of the Fordyce Estate because they had a political representative from the same party as the Government in power at the time.
